Northwest Mailing Service and Metrics Marketing Group Announce Mobile Barcode Program in Conjunction with the USPS Summer Promotion

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) June 07, 2011

Northwest Mailing Service, a leading direct mail provider, and Metrics Marketing Group, an analytics-driven database marketing and interactive services firm, announce a new Mobile Barcode Program in conjunction with the United States Postal Services (USPS) Mobile Barcode Promotion a summer promotional campaign that provides business mailers with an upfront 3 percent discount on mailers that include a two-dimensional barcode. The goal of the Mobile Barcode Promotion is to increase awareness of mobile technology and to demonstrate firsthand to mailers how mobile barcodes can increase the value of mail.

The USPS summer promotion runs from July 1, 2011 through August 31, 2011 and encourages all companies, including mail service providers who utilize Standard or First Class letters and flats with postage paid permit imprint to participate. In order to receive the 3 percent discount, the USPS requires that each mailer include a marketing related two-dimensional barcode that can be read or scanned by a smartphone.

Northwest and Metrics Mobile Barcode Program allows marketers to take advantage of USPS summer promotion by offering QR code creation, implementation and data tracking. A QR code, or Quick Response code, is a specific two-dimensional code readable by particular barcode readers and all smartphones - it holds dense information in a concise electronic form. Participants must submit a desired URL that they want the mobile barcode to direct their customers to and Northwest will create the QR code, print it on direct mail pieces, provide quality control to ensure that the code is readable by 99 percent of smartphones and submit participants information to USPS to receive the discount. Metrics Marketing will utilize their in-depth analytic capabilities to track the QR code scans for basic response rates and individual response information that are reported back to the marketer. Together, Northwest and Metrics have designed an end-to-end mobile barcode marketing solution.

We have been creating and implementing QR codes for several of our clients direct mail programs and we have seen tremendous results, commented Tom Ragen, CEO at Precision Dialogue. With our new Mobile Barcode Program, we hope to convey to marketers that implementing QR codes into direct mail pieces is easy and effective at gathering data on their customers.

Headquartered in Cleveland, Metrics Marketing provides sophisticated data analytics and automated marketing solutions combined with robust multi-channel message delivery. Northwest Mailing Service, located in Chicago, is a leading direct mail provider and their direct marketing experts optimize the lettershop process, from unique designs and formats to postal optimization. Fitness Gurus Warn Women Not To Give Up On Their Diet Just Because Summer Has Arrived

Newport Beach, Calif. (PRWEB) July 16, 2009

Fitness expert Ashley Marriott and Marc L. Paulsen, MD want women to know that Summertime is the time when a women's body is actually working in concert with them to lose weight - versus in the fall and winter when the body is sending out messages to pack it on.

Women, they say, who get discouraged because they didn't meet their goals by their start-of-Summer deadline may be selling themselves short. Summertime is the time when the body's hormones are actively motivating their bodies to get more active, increase their metabolism and burn that excess fat. So, weight loss during this period can actually be far easier.

The authors advise:

Examine your goal to insure that it's realistic. Some fitness programs promise one pound or greater of weight loss per day, which is unhealthy, unrealistic and potentially dangerous.
Use the Size 2 for Life frame-adjusted formula to set a realistic goal.
Examine your diet and, in most cases, those little "demon saboteurs" will become obvious (alcohol, chips, habitual nibbling, etc).
Substitute healthy activities and exercise for habitual eating, but don't push yourself too fast or too hard. Nothing will short-circuit a weight loss program faster than an injury.
Approach each day with a positive attitude regardless of any previous setbacks or disappointments.

The authors invite women to join Ashley's free Tips & Share program by clicking on the link at http://www.size2forlife.com

The authors have appeared as guests on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and the CW networks and been reviewed in newspapers and magazines worldwide. Media review copies are available.

Size 2 for Life is available at Amazon, Borders, Barnes & Noble and retail outlets worldwide.
